I provide tutoring, test prep, and homeschooling support for learners of ALL ages!

I tailor the learning experience for the individual student, whether it is a first-grader learning to read, a high school student preparing for SAT`s, or an adult learner heading back to college. Each student gets the undivided attention of a caring tutor, who has the expertise and experience to make the concepts clear and concise, while connecting the skills to the learner`s experiences.

All tutoring done by a state and Montessori certified teacher, with 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring students, from pre-school to adults.

I use hands-on materials and learning games to help students understand, and to make learning fun!

I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you - at no cost - to discuss your tutoring needs.

Tutoring can be as little as $29/hr depending on the length of the sessions and the type of payment plan that you select.

* SCIENCE: chemistry and biology

* SPECIAL NEEDS: dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, processing delays

Experience: Experienced tutor for learners of all ages. I am a state certified teacher, and hold an American Montessori Society teaching credential. I have spent the past 20 years teaching and tutoring students (ranging from toddlers through adults), in almost every imaginable educational setting: one-on-one tutoring, private schools, public schools, Montessori schools, tutoring centers, teacher-education centers… even the education department of the zoo!

I am dedicated, passionate, reliable, creative, and professional. In my tutoring, I use a variety of modes of learning, and many hands-on manipulative materials. I often use Montessori materials with students (even those who have never experienced Montessori education before) because of their amazing capacity to help students - no matter how old! – to really UNDERSTAND the concepts, rather than just ‘memorizing the steps to get the answer’ that textbooks often teach.
