I have been tutoring privately for over 4 years and for the past two years, I have worked at the CUNY City College Writing Center as a writing tutor. I have worked with hundreds of students on grammar, academic essays, creative writing, personal statements, resumes, research papers, as well as on various other kinds of writing. I work with students one-on-one to figure out the best method to achieving their goals based on their unique learning styles. I am very passionate about finding the best possible way to allow each student to gain confidence in his or her individual strengths. It is a goal of mine to help students become able to convey their ideas clearly and effectively and I like to help students become excited about their work. Not only have I worked with ESL students and English Language Learners, but I have also worked with students with learning and mental disabilities. I have led grammar workshops, and I take pride in being able to create effective learning plans. I have worked with students in creating portfolios and advising them in preparation for applying to many undergraduate and graduate programs
